VERSE: Mark 2:5 – “When Jesus saw their faith, He said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.”
It matters with whom you are surrounded. Those you keep near you can either draw you closer to Jesus or pull you away from Him. Jesus has given us a community of believers that we can hang with so that we are reminded of His love for us, His grace bestowed upon us, and His many blessings He gives us. This verse reminds us of the value and benefit we have when we have praying, faithful friends. The paralytic was healed because of the faith of His friends. They believed enough for the miracle and were willing to take their friend to Jesus. Are you willing to take your friend to Jesus in prayer? Do your friends take you to Jesus in prayer? Remember Jesus loves you. You are loved.
Prayer: Jesus help me to be the friend You would have me to be. Teach me to be a light for them and give me a heart for their burdens. Help me to consistently lift them in prayer. Lord, surround me with faithful, praying friends. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
