Song: “Joy Unspeakable”
Barney E. Warren

I have found His grace is all complete,
He supplieth every need;
While I sit and learn at Jesus’ feet,
I am free, yes, free indeed.

REFRAIN:

It is joy unspeakable and full of glory,
Full of glory, full of glory;
It is joy unspeakable and full of glory,
Oh, the half has never yet been told.

I have found the pleasure I once craved,
It is joy and peace within;
What a wondrous blessing, I am saved
From the awful gulf of sin.

REFRAIN:

I have found that hope so bright and clear,
Living in the realm of grace;
Oh, the Savior’s presence is so near,
I can see His smiling face.

REFRAIN:

I have found the joy no tongue can tell,
How its waves of glory roll;
It is like a great o’erflowing well,
Springing up within my soul.

REFRAIN:

VERSE:  Psalm 5:11, “But let all those that put their trust in Thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because Thou defendest them: let them also that love Thy name be joyful in Thee.”

Talk about security.  This is the ultimate in security.  The Lord defends you!  He has never lost a battle and you can be sure that He won’t lose this one.  Nothing that comes your way can defeat you unless you choose to fight it alone, to ignore God’s guidance and grace, and to refuse to accept His will.  You have joy in knowing that even the troubles that come your way are steppingstones to glory.  Things that the world and the devil have meant for your harm, God will use for His glory and your good.  When you really put your trust in Jesus, things of this world won’t get you down.  You will know that all things are under His control and He has your best interest at heart.  So, whatever is looking bad for you right now, just turn it over to God and allow Him to do His work in you.  Let His joy shine!  Jesus loves you.  You are loved.

Prayer:  Lord, let my life be a living testimony of Your love, Your grace and Your glory. Always help me to remember how much You love me and how well You take care of me.  Teach me to focus on Your promises and the truth of Your Word.  Let Your joy rise in me so that others can see the reality of serving You.  Thank You for loving me and providing for me.  In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

*Sunday and Wednesday encouragements are written for our friends in Assisted Living, who we are unable to see regularly, due to COVID. We pray they are a blessing for you as well!
