Song: “I Go To the Rock”

By Dottie Rambo

Where do I go when there’s nobody else to turn to?
Who do I turn to when nobody wants to listen?
Who do I lean on when there’s no foundation stable?
I go to the Rock, I know He’s able, I go to the Roc

REFRAIN:
I go to The Rock for my salvation
I go to the stone that the builders rejected
I run to the mountain and the mountain stands by me
When the earth all around me is sinking sand
On Christ, the Solid Rock, I stand
When I need a shelter, when I need a friend, I go to the Rock

Where do I hide till the storms have all passed over?
Who do I run to when the winds of sorrow threaten?
Is there a refuge in the time of tribulation?
When my soul needs consolation, I go to the Rock

REFRAIN

When the earth all around me is sinking sand
On Christ, the Solid Rock, I stand
When I need a shelter, when I need a friend, I go to The Rock
When I need a shelter, when I need a friend, I go to The Rock
When I need a shelter, when I need a friend, I go to The Rock

VERSE:  Philippians 4:19, “But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

These are uncertain times in which we live.  If you misplace your focus and start to look around you instead of focusing on God, you may find yourself doubting the goodness of God and start to lose faith and trust in Him.  But a daily dose of Philippians 4:19 is just the boost your faith needs and exactly what your soul desires.  Meditate on the fact that God is still in control.  Focus on the truth that He knows what you need and supplies your every need.  Trust the depth of His love and the vastness of His riches to bathe you in His blessings.  Jesus loves you.  You are loved!

Prayer:  Oh Lord, fill my heart with your presence.  Strengthen my faith.  Show me every day the ways you work in my life.  Show me daily  how you protect me, guide me and care for me.  Help me to trust you more and to live in your Joy.  In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

*Sunday and Wednesday encouragements are written for our friends in Assisted Living, who we are unable to see regularly, due to COVID. We pray they are a blessing for you as well!
