Hello Friends,

As I sit here thinking about all that is happening in the world, wars, rumors of wars, tanked economies, unrest, division, and the negative list could go on and on, I am reminded of today’s Bible Bit, “He Renews Our Strength.”  I am calmed by the fact that God is in control and that His peace, strength, and provision is mine daily.  It is so easy to get our minds going down a rabbit hole and finding ourselves hanging out in a pit that as a friend of mine says, we are getting so comfortable in that we are decorating it.

The life of a Christian is a disciplined life and during these difficult times it is important for us to be very disciplined.  We must be disciplined to read His Word, to spend time in prayer, and to live according to His commands.  It is very important to stay focused on Jesus and allow His peace to permeate our lives.

We must discipline ourselves to think on the things of God, to dwell on His truths, His promises, and His watch care over us.  We must not give the devil one millimeter in our minds.  We must protect the real estate of our mind with all diligence.  We must allow the Holy Spirit to be the filter we use to manage what is allowed in our minds and what isn’t allowed in our minds.  Only the things of God should find permanent residence in our minds and heart.

When we learn to focus on the things of God and not on the things of the world, we will live the abundant life God promises every believer.  I am not saying that we need to walk around with our heads buried in the sand.  No, I am asking you to employ your faith to the fullest and to see all things through the lens of faith.  It will make a vast difference in your life.  Allow the truths of God to formulate your opinions, thoughts, and actions.  Allow God’s character to be the character that you choose to display and utilize in all your interactions.  Literally invite God into every moment of your life and allow Him to be your Lord.

Oh, today has great promises to enjoy and relish. Lord, help me to seize them and take advantage of each of them as I live each moment with the joy and anticipation of knowing God is in control.

In His Service,
Kimmy
